Ethiopian Aeronautical Information Service, which forms part of Air Navigation Services Directorate of the ECAA, ensures the flow of information necessary for the safety, regularity and efficiency of international and national air navigation within Ethiopian airspace. We offer services to airlines, pilots and all those involved in flight planning and navigation in the Ethiopia and beyond.
AIP
Ethiopia Aeronautical Information Publication: This is static information which contains information of lasting (permanent) character essential to air navigation.
AIP Supplements
Ethiopia AIP Supplements (SUPs): These are temporary changes to the AIP, which are usually of long duration and contain comprehensive text and/or graphics.
Circulars (AICs)
Aeronautical Information Circulars (AICs): These notices relate to Safety, Navigation, Technical, Administrative or Legal Matters.
NOTAM
NOTAM: These notices concern the condition or change to any facility, service or procedure. Available as Pre-Flight Information Bulletins (PIB).
Charts Service
ICAO Aeronautical Chart 1:1000, 000 is sold for customers with price and payment conditions listed in the AIP Ethiopia.
AIS Library
A library of foreign aeronautical information, ICAO documents, Jeppesen airways manuals; charts are available for reference purpose.
Unit 01
International NOTAM Office (NOF)
The International NOTAM Office (NOF) is also responsible for flight planning and the provision of pre-flight information to aircraft operators. Flight plans may be filed in person or transmitted using AMHS directly to the office.
